The U.S. Army has started to train troops on a new radar system designed to detect bombs and weapons hidden underneath clothing, but the time it has taken to employ the system has drawn fire, reports the Stars and Stripes.
The CounterBomber system was developed to detect potential suicide bombers at base entrances in Afghanistan and Iraq. The Air Force and Marines have already fielded the system, the Marines having done so two years ago.
