The U.S. Army has begun fielding handheld drones, reports the Army News Service.
The 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, at Fort Bragg, N.C., became the first unit to receive the Army's first personal unmanned aircraft system (UAS) in late April and early May.
The week-long fielding exercise including classroom instruction on the system's capabilities, controls and how to operate it, culminating in a comprehensive exercise.
