Army Eyes Mobile Motorcycle Unit To Reach Terrorists Where They Live

The Nigerian army is considering the formation of a special force on motorcycles to chase down terrorists, reports the Leadership (Abuja).

Motorcycles are seen as providing better mobility in areas where Boko Haram and other militants hide out.

Nigerian troops have reportedly indicated that using traditional military vehicles to reach the Sambisa Forest, for example, has been difficult.

Muddy areas in the northeast have also been challenging for soldiers.
