Army Develops Airborne EOD Unit For Contingencies

The U.S. Army is creating an airborne explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) unit in an effort to deploy those specialists quickly, reports the Army Times.

Members of the 767th Ordnance Company, 192nd Ordnance Battalion, earlier this month conducted the Army's first conventional airborne EOD operations with the 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, N.C.
