The U.S. Army has just published what it terms its new Operating Concept, which describes how it intends to fight between 2016 and 2028, Defense News reports.
The service will contribute, as its core mission, combined arms maneuver and security operations to the joint force, says the 65-page paper.
The concept paper does set forth doctrine, but is meant to influence future force structure decisions and capabilities development.
