A new computer system for battlefield communications has come under harsh congressional criticism over its performance and affordability, reports Bloomberg News.
Boeing's Network Integration Kit (NIK) "has yet to demonstrate desired performance levels in testing, has very large power, space and cooling requirements and is projected to cost $450,000 each," according to a statement by the House and Senate armed services committees that accompanies the 2011 defense authorization...
