Pakistan's army chief has begun a round of farewell visits before his expected retirement, reports Dawn (Pakistan).
On Monday, Gen. Raheel Sharif began his visit in Lahore where he addressed and thanked members of the Pakistani army and paramilitary Rangers.
The tour has quieted speculation that he might receive an extension in his post, noted Reuters.
