Army Breaks Ground For National Museum At Fort Belvoir, Va.

Construction has begun for a national museum for the U.S. Army, reports the Army Times.

A ground-breaking ceremony was held Wednesday. The museum, located on 80 acres in Fort Belvoir, Va., is expected to be finished in 2019.

The 186,000-square-foot museum will feature about 30,000 artifacts, documents and images as well as 15,000 pieces of artwork, according to the Washington Business Journal.

The project, expected to cost about US$200 million, is funded by the Army...
