Croatian army personnel have been deployed to fight wildfires raging in the country's south, reports Dalje, a Zagreb-based news portal.
About 50 from the army were sent to the Peljesac peninsula where the fires have been spreading, said the Defense Ministry on Tuesday.
The air force was also deployed, said a local firefighting chief. Five firefighting planes and helicopters were operating on Tuesday.
