Hundreds of Indian troops are in Indian-administered Kashmir to prevent demonstrations by separatists, reports Press TV (Iran).
Soldiers were seen on Thursday patrolling the streets of Srinagar, the summer capital of the state. They intend to stop a rally marking the anniversary of the assassinations of two separatist Kashmiri leaders.
Mirawaiz Farooq was killed in 1990. Abdul Lone was assassinated in 2002 at a rally marking Farooq's death.
