Armed Combat Robots Tested On DMZ

The South Korean army has placed armed unmanned ground vehicles at a guard post on the southern side of the demilitarized zone (DMZ) with North Korea, reports the Yonhap News Agency (South Korea).
The SGR-1 robot, armed with a machine gun and 40-mm automatic grenade launcher, is able to detect, warn and provide suppressive fire along the DMZ, according to army officials.
