Defense officials say the Indian army has begun to test the indigenous Arjun Mk II tank at the Pokhran range in northwestern India, reports the Economic Times (India).
The two months of trials, which started on Friday, are focused on 19 parameters, said a Defense Research and Development Organization release.
The army has purchased 124 Arjun tanks and made additional acquisitions contingent on 19 major modifications, said a Defense Ministry spokesman.
