The Burmese government says it will not invite the Arakan Army (AA) to a new round of peace talks later this month, reports the Irrawaddy (Burma).
On Wednesday, a military spokesman said that the ethnic armed group would not be invited because it had been designated as a terrorist organization.
The Union Peace Conference-21st Century will bring together two leaders each from seven groups that are not signatories to the Nationwide Cease-fire Agreement (NCA).
