The New Zealand navy’s newest fleet tanker and supply ship has been christened during a ceremony in South Korea, reports the Yonhap news agency (Seoul). The Aotearoa was officially named on Oct. 25 during a ceremony at the Hyundai Heavy Industries shipyard in Ulsan. Wellington ordered the tanker from Hyundai in 2016 to replace the supply ship Endeavour, which Hyundai previously delivered to New Zealand in 1987.
