Any Japanese Military Action On Peninsula Will Require Seoul's Consent, Emphasizes Tokyo

Japan and South Korea have just held their first working-level defense policy meeting in two years, reports the Yonhap news agency.
During the talks in Seoul, Japanese representatives again stressed that Tokyo would never deploy troops to the Korean Peninsula in a crisis without the permission of the South Korean government.
A similar assurance was made in May during a meeting between the defense ministers of the two nations.
