Fourteen people were killed Tuesday when a tractor hit an old anti-tank mine in western Cambodia, the Press Association (U.K.) reports.
The incident took place in Battambang province, the site of intense battles between the Khmer Rouge and government forces in the 1980s and early 1990s, police said.
Twelve people were killed instantly and two died later. The group had finished a day at work on a farm and took a shortcut through the field, a local police official told AFP. ...
