Another Pair Of Patrol Aircraft To Bring Coast Guard Fleet To 17

The U.S. Coast Guard has exercised a contract option for two more maritime patrol aircraft built by EADS North America.
The $78.5 million contract for two HC-144A Ocean Sentry aircraft is part of a 2010 deal for three aircraft with four options of up to six aircraft, according to a Coast Guard release.
To be delivered in 2014, these will be the 16th and 17th Ocean Sentrys in Coast Guard service.
