Another Order Placed For Sea Hunter, Unmanned Sub Killer

The Office of Naval Research, an organization within the U.S. Dept. of the Navy, has awarded a contract to Leidos, Reston, Va., to build a second autonomous surface vessel for anti-submarine warfare missions, reports the U.S. Dept. of Defense.
The $35.5 million contract, dated Dec. 15, covers the second Sea Hunter autonomous continuous trail unmanned vessel (ACTUV). There are options that if exercised would bring the total value to $43.6 million.
