Colombian troops have rescued a fourth hostage held for 12 years by the Marxist rebel group called the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC), the BBC reports.
Police Lt. Col. William Donato managed to escape in the confusion when soldiers attacked a FARC camp on Sunday to free hostages in southern Guaviare province, officials said.
The troops said they found the colonel in the jungle hours after the attack. He was then taken to a military base where he was reunited...
