China recently flight-tested a new anti-satellite missile, say U.S. officials cited by the Washington Free Beacon.
The Dong Neng-3 (DN-3) exoatmospheric vehicle was tested on Oct. 30 at the Korla Missile Test Complex in western China, according to two U.S. defense officials familiar with reports of the test.
The DN-3 is primarily a direct-ascent missile designed to crash into satellites and destroy them, the officials said.
