Another 3 Dozen Ships Planned For Maritime Surveillance Agency

More ships are on the way for China Marine Surveillance, a maritime law enforcement agency that is part of China's State Oceanic Administration (SOA), reports Xinhua, China's state news agency.
Three dozen ships will be built over the next two years for the agency, which already has a fleet of some 400 law enforcement vessels, said a top SOA official.
SOA vessels were involved in the confrontation in April with the Philippines over disputed territory in the South China Sea.
