Dozens of unarmed civilians have been killed as security forces continue to crack down on demonstrations against the military regime in Burma, reports the Irrawaddy (Burma).
On Wednesday, at least 28 people were killed around the country as police ignored a regime order not to use live ammunition against demonstrators.
Fifteen people were killed in Yangon; six in Monywa in the northwestern Sagaing region; three in Mandalay; and four in three other cities across Burma.
