Annan Appeals For Iranian Help To End Syrian Violence

Former U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan has urged Iran to support the plan he brokered to end violence in Syria, an Iranian ally, reports CBS News.
Annan is acting as a special envoy from the United Nation and Arab League. His six-point plan called on Damascus to begin a 48-hour withdrawal from urban combat areas on Tuesday.
As of Wednesday, fighting has been reported in several areas of Syria, despite the Syrian government's agreement to the cease-fire plan
