The Turkish military is moving heavy weaponry close to the Iraqi border, say military sources cited by Middle East Online.
A 30-vehicle convoy, including tanks and artillery, were sent to the town of Silopi in Turkey's southeastern Sirnak province, the sources said Tuesday.
The deployment is related to the fight against terrorism and developments in Iraq, said Turkish Defense Minister Fikri Isik.
