Turkey has canceled a potential US$3.4 billion long-range missile defense program that had been provisionally awarded to China, says a Turkish official cited by Reuters.
Turkey chose China Precision Import and Export in 2013 as the preferred candidate, raising security concerns by other NATO members about Chinese technology.
The tender will be canceled, said the official with Prime Minister Ahmet Dabutoglu's office.
