On March 11, Anduril Industries announced it was selected by the Defense Innovation Unit and the United States Navy to participate in the Combat Autonomous Maritime Platform (CAMP) project. The project aims to close an operational gap by improving the U.S. military’s ability to deploy large underwater payloads over long distances.
Under CAMP, Anduril will demonstrate its Dive-XL within four months of the contract award. The system is an extra-large autonomous underwater vehicle designed for long-duration missions and distributed maritime operations. The program focuses on rapidly prototyping and testing XL-AUV platforms to support real operational missions.
