AMPV Production Back On Track

BAE Systems has reached an agreement with the U.S. Army on new production goals for its latest armored vehicle, reports Breaking Defense.
The Armored Multi-Purpose Vehicle (AMPV) suffered from early issues with a new manufacturing floor employing aluminum welding robots and other advanced technologies.
There were initial production issues with welds that required Defense Contract Management Agency inspectors to receive new training to evaluate the new aluminum welds.
