China has launched a series of military exercises designed to demonstrate its ability to win a conflict over Taiwan, reports the Japan News (Tokyo).
On Monday, the state-run Global Times reported that the Chinese army and navy had begun amphibious landing exercises on July 16 in Fujian province, off the coast of Taiwan.
Dozens of amphibious armored vehicles from the 73rd Group Army embarked on ships for day and night live-fire training, the paper said.
