The USS New Orleans amphibious transport dock is set to deploy Thursday from San Diego for a three-month mission to support the Southern Partnership Station annual exercise, the Navy Times reports.
The mission is primarily aimed at providing training to regional civil and maritime services in the U.S. Southern Command area in the Caribbean and Latin America.
