U.S. military personnel are now inside Mosul to help Iraqi forces retake the northern city from the Islamic State, says the Pentagon, as reported by the Wall Street Journal.
A spokesman for the U.S.-led coalition confirmed on Wednesday that new advisers working directly with forces had gone within Mosul. Those personnel include special operations forces and intelligence and engineering troops, he said.
"They have been in the city at different times," the DoD spokesman said....
