U.S. forces will stay in Syria as long as is necessary to support its local partners and prevent the return of terrorists, says the Pentagon as reported by Agence France Presse.
"We are going to maintain our commitment on the ground as long as we need to, to support our partners and prevent the return of terrorist groups," a Pentagon spokesman told the news agency on Tuesday.
