American Fighter Squadrons Compete In Training With Each Other

Units from the U.S. Air Forces in Europe and Air Forces Africa have been training with their different types of fighters at a joint exercise at Spangdahlem Air Base in Germany, reports the Air Force News Service.
The five-day Iron Hand 15-2 drills held late last month was a U.S.-only air combat exercise designed to enhance interoperability among the types, said Lt. Gen. Darryl Roberson, the commander of the 3rd Air Force and 17th Expeditionary Air Force.
