Almost 1,800 Iraqis Killed In Conflict In October, Says Latest U.N. Report

The United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI) has compiled statistics of the deaths of nearly 1,800 Iraqis last month due to terrorism, violence and armed conflict, reports NRT News (Iraq).

The UNAMI released the casualty figures on Tuesday: 1,792 were killed and 1,359 injured in October.

The casualties included 1,120 civilians and 672 members of the security forces, including the Kurdish peshmerga. A total of 1,005 civilians and 353 members of the security forces...
