Algerian Diplomats Kidnapped In North

Algerian officials and witnesses say armed Islamists have stormed the Algerian consulate in northeastern Mali and abducted seven diplomats, reports the Daily Telegraph (U.K.).
The diplomats' release was reported several days later.
An unidentified group attacked the consulate last Thursday in the city of Gao, said Algeria's Foreign Ministry.
The consul and six staff members were kidnapped, said officials.
