One of the Russian navy's newest nuclear-powered ballistic-missile submarines is on the way to her new homeport in the Pacific, reports Interfax-AVN.
The Alexander Nevsky, the second Borei-class boat, is scheduled to arrive in Vilyuchinsk in late September, said an unnamed source. The sub is transferring from the Northern Fleet to the Pacific Fleet.
Traveling along the Northern Sea Route in the Arctic, the sub is expected to arrive sometime after Sept. 20, the source said. ...
