Alenia Aermacchi Makes Sale Of 2 C-27J Transports To Undisclosed African Nation

Alenia Aermacchi, a subsidiary of Italian firm Finmeccanica, has announced a contract with an unnamed African country for two transport aircraft.

The deal covers two C-27J tactical transports and a logistics support package, according to a release from Finmeccanica on Wednesday.

Deliveries are scheduled to begin in 2017.

The C-27Js will be used for troop and cargo transport, homeland security and civil protection missions, said the release
