Al-Shabaab insurgents have attacked Ethiopian forces and pro-government militiamen in southern Somalia, reports Garowe Online (Somalia).
On Monday, the Al-Qaida-linked group assaulted its former stronghold of Eilbur, sources said.
The town is located in the Galgudud region, which is now largely controlled by the pro-government Ahlu Sunnah Wal Jama militia.
