The U.S. military has conducted an airstrike against Al-Qaida militants in southwestern Libya, reports the Libya Herald.
The attack on Wednesday targeted an Al-Qaida position near Ubari, said a spokesman for the U.N.-backed Government of National Accord.
The airstrike was carried out “within the framework of the strategic relations between Libya and the U.S. in the field of counterterrorism,” the spokesman said, as quoted by the Anadolu Agency (Turkey).
