Al-Qaida Militant Implicated In USS Cole Killed In Airstrike

An Al-Qaida member involved in the 200 bombing of the destroyer USS Cole off Aden, Yemen, has been killed, reports NPR News. 

Jamal al-Badawi died in a U.S. airstrike, President Trump said on Sunday. 

On Saturday, military officials said Badawi had been targeted in a precision strike in Yemen. "U.S. forces confirmed the results of the strike following a deliberative assessment process," said a spokesman for U.S. Central Command.
