A forensic analysis has confirmed that a senior Al-Qaida leader personally beheaded a Wall Street Journal reporter in 2002, CNN reports.
Daniel Pearl, the Journal reporter, was kidnapped in 2002 in Pakistan and a video of his decapitation was sent to the U.S. consulate in Karachi.
Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the suspected mastermind of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks in New York City, previously had boasted of killing the reporter.
