A convoy of pro-Iranian paramilitary fighters was attacked from the air in eastern Syria, reports Al Jazeera (Qatar).
The convoy of 22 fuel tankers and trucks loaded with weapons was traveling from Iran to Lebanon. It was hit late Tuesday, shortly after crossing into Deir Ezzor province in Syria from Iraq.
Ten trucks were hit, with four being completely burned, according to an Iraqi border official.
The U.K.-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that at least 14 people were killed in the strikes, including some Iranian citizens.
Iranian state media accused the U.S. of perpetrating the attack. A U.S. military spokesman denied involvement.
