Airstrikes In Afghanistan Hit 10-Year High In September

U.S. forces conducted the highest number of airstrikes in a single month in Afghanistan since 2010 in September, reports Military.com.

Last month, U.S. aircraft released 948 weapons on targets in Afghanistan, according to an Air Forces Central Command strike report. 

The figure approaches a record set in October 2010, when 1,043 munitions were released.
