A combined Afghan and international coalition force killed a bomb maker from the Haqqani network in Paktia province on Monday, NATO's International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) reports.
This Haqqani element was believed responsible for several improvised explosive device (IED) attacks in the Khost-Gardez Pass, ISAF military officials said.
