Airport In Tripoli Back Under Government Control

The Libyan government says it now has regained control of the international airport in Tripoli after the tarmac had been seized by a militia group, reports the Guardian (U.K.).

On Monday, fighters from Tarhuna seized the airport, which was apparently unguarded, in response to the alleged kidnapping of their leader.

A hangar was reported blown up and a fire set to the surrounding area, according to AFP.
