An unidentified source from the Russian military says Moscow may airlift a controversial shipment of military gear to Syria, reports Agence France-Presse.
A cargo ship carrying three Mi-25 Hind attack helicopters and air defense systems bound for Syria returned to Russia over the weekend after its London-based insurer revoked coverage.
The gear "could easily be delivered to Syria by air," the source told Interfax-AVN. "Russia has to fulfill its obligations."
