The U.S. Air Force had to evacuate several aircraft from Offutt Air Force Base, Neb., after the facility flooded over the weekend, reports the Air Force Times.
Melting snow from this winter's record snowfall and a large drop in air pressure early last week from the "bomb cyclone" that produced heavy snow, strong winds and several tornadoes caused the Missouri River and Papio Creek to flood and "overwhelm the southeastern side of the base," said a release from Offutt on Sunday....
