Airborne Forces Eye Small Amphibious Chassis For Special Missions

The Russian airborne force has been working with the Moscow Automobile and Road Construction State Technical University (MADI) to develop an amphibious chassis for small and very small combat vehicles, reports Interfax-AVN.

The chassis will provide a unique platform for various wheeled vehicles, said a Russian Defense Ministry report on Monday.

It will be used to support vehicles from 1,760 pounds (800 kg) to up to 35 metric tons for amphibious operations, the ministry said. ...
