Air Force's Initial Combat Mission In Syria Is Confirmed

The Australian air force has made its first mission in Syria, according to a statement from the Australian Dept. of Defense.

The Australian air task group completed its first operational mission overnight on Friday, providing on-call interdiction and targeting support for the U.S.-led coalition against the Islamic State, said the statement.
