The U.S. Air Force has successfully launched its fifth X-37B space plane mission, reports Space.com.
The space vehicle was launched on Thursday morning aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
The Air Force has two X-37B platforms. Each has completed two previous missions, of progressively longer duration.
The fourth mission lasted 718 days, from May 20, 2015, to May 7, 2017, carrying a classified satellite for the DoD.
