Air Force Targets Criminals, 55 killed

The Nigerian Air Force killed 55 members of a criminal gang this week, reported Voice of America.

The air force reported 28 members of a kidnapping-for-ransom gang killed on Tuesday and 27 bandits in northwest Katsina killed later in the week.

Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari has faced public backlash for not cracking down on Islamist militant attacks. During a national security meeting last week, he gave security forces full freedom to deal with terrorists.
